- Records are kept in your browser on this device.
- Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to, for example by exporting a file or turning on sync.
- There is no advertising and no tracking of what you record.

How your records are stored, what leaves your device, and how you can check the code.
Encryption
- Records are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are saved.
- Your passkey, passphrase or twelve recovery words unlock the key. Nobody else has a copy.
- If you turn on sync, the server stores the encrypted data and has no key to read it.
Anonymous statistics
- The app counts which screens and features are used, as daily totals with no identifier and no health data.
- Browser privacy signals are respected, and you can turn the counts off in Settings.
- The data collection notice lists everything that is counted.
Checking the code
- Each public release lists every file the site serves, with its SHA-256 hash.
- The app compares itself with that list every day and before it installs an update, and warns you if they differ.
- Anyone can rebuild the app from source and compare the files.

The privacy notice explains what is processed, why, and for how long. The data collection notice lists each kind of data, where it is kept, and whether it leaves your device.
